Providing Accessible Training Opportunities for all New Brunswickers

Heart and Stroke NB maintains a network of First Aid & CPR instructors throughout New Brunswick. In 2022, our network offered 2,302 courses taught by 249 instructors.

Cardiac arrest is when the heart suddenly stops beating. It can happen to anyone at anytime. Signs of cardiac arrest include sudden collapse, unresponsive to sound or touch and not breathing or making gasping sounds.

If you think someone is in cardiac arrest, call 9-1-1, and begin CPR.

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are life-saving devices that are most effective when they are available, easy to access, and deployed shortly after a cardiac arrest occurs. Heart & Stroke NB is leading the way to ensure more AEDs are available in more places throughout the province.
